Lesson 1 - Introduction to The British Empire

An introductory lesson to The British Empire, This is lesson 1 in my series of lessons on British Empire.

Students will be introduced to the concept of Empires and Colonies and attitudes around empire at the time. Students will examine attitudes towards natives and why Britain wanted an empire. There are a series of tasks to examine the empire, ending with the rise and fall.

All of my lessons are designed to last at least 60 minutes, however they can be adapted to fit the ability of your class.
