Lesson 2 - The Battle of Stamford Bridge

A lesson on The Battle of Stamford Bridge. This is lesson 2 in my series of lessons on The Norman Conquest.

Students will examine what they can remember about Harold Godwinson and Harald Hardrada. Then complete a sequence sheet whilst talking through the events of the battle. A storyboard task that allows for students to complete their own intepretations before looking at the interpretations of two historians. 

All of my lessons are designed to last at least 60 minutes, however they can be adapted to fit the ability of your class.
