Lesson 4 - Mary Queen of Scots

A lesson on the arrival of Mary Queen of Scots, This is lesson 4 in my series of lessons on Elizabethan England.

Students will identify why Mary was a threat to Elizabeth's reign, they will then examine the Babington plot and crack the code. Students then examine reasons for and against executing Mary and also the impact this decision would have on Elizabeth. The lessons ends with the students making a judgement on whether Elizabeth made the right choice.

All of my lessons are designed to last 60 minutes, however they can be adapted to fit the ability of your class.
