Lesson 5 - Was the Black Death a disaster?

Lesson Context

A lesson on whether The Black Death was a disaster? This is lesson 5 in my series of lessons on The Black Death however can also be taught as an individual lesson or included in your own sequence of lessons. All of my lessons are designed to last at least 60 minutes; however, they can be adapted to fit the ability of your class.

Lesson Content

Students look at a series of slides with evidence of changes to society after the Black Death. For each slide students look at what changed and make individual decisions on whether the consequence was a disaster or not. The lesson ends with a writing task where students use sentence fragments to answer the lesson question.

Worksheets and Notes

Everything you need to teach this lesson is included; worksheets are included ready to print double sided - there are 'glue here' instructions for students. 

Teacher notes are at the bottom of each individual slide for assistance where needed.
