Lesson 5 - William: Threats and Rebellion

A lesson on the problems William faced including threats and rebellion. This is lesson 5  in my series of lessons on The Norman Conquest.

Students will identify the three main threats that William faced and the possible ways he could deal with them. There is a storyboard task for class discussion that then allows for students to put forward their own interpretations. The final part of the lesson looks at a quote from a historian and a task that asks the students for their reaction.

All of my lessons are designed to last at least 60 minutes, however they can be adapted to fit the ability of your class.
