A lesson on Elizabethan Poverty. This is lesson 7 in my series of lessons on Elizabethan England.

Students will study why poverty was such a problem in Elizabethan England before examining the different types of poor people in Elizabethan England. Students will go on to look at how Elizabeth dealt with Poverty in her kingdom and how effective the Poor Laws were.

All of my lessons are designed to last 60 minutes, however they can be adapted to fit the ability of your class.
